Of course our program teaches self-defense but at Kei Shin Martial Arts we are much more than that - We develop you! Our program is a family fun fitness based class that helps to develop your mind and your body. Our students range in ages from 13 - 60 something. We help personalize a program that will work for just you.


In this day and age, your physical fitness is important. Hectic lifestyles will drain you and rob your body of energy. You need to make time for fitness and you might as well make fitness fun. Our program is not the same old workout routine. Our workouts are ever changing, challenging, and your fellow Kei Shin Family is there to push and support you.


Our program just doesn't help your physical well being but it serves your mental well being as well. Work deadlines, running kids everywhere, and the general stressors of life will wear you down. When you enter the training floor, the rest of the world disappears. There are no distractions - You work on you. The blood pumping through your veins is invigorating.


Kei Shin Martial Arts will help you get focused, fit, and fired up about life. You will perform better, feel better, and be better!


Teens benefit additionally from the added bonus of our program. Being a teenager is one of the toughest and most challenging parts of life. They are trying so hard to find out who they are and who they want to be. Our program helps guide them to be leaders instead of followers. Peer pressure from "Friends" is always there. We encourage our teens to be leaders and not followers. We also provide them with the best tools to do just that.

OUR CORE SELF-DEFENSE PROGRAM

MOST PROGRAMS TEACH ONE SIDED SYSTEMS

At Kei Shin Martial Arts we teach a complete defense system. We don't concentrate on sport style martial arts. Our system is reaction based. The body has reactions that it does when someone attacks them. We teach you how to use those reactions and turn them into real life techniques that work during a self-defense situation. Some schools teach some not so realistic self-defense techniques. Remember everything works in a controlled environment - YOUTUBE is filled with all sorts of cool looking techniques.


We teach the basics of kickboxing, karate, & Jiu-Jitsu. The basics are what wins fights and helps keep you safe. Students start off working on basic kickboxing techniques and basic self-defense strategies. They will also be exposed to basic ground survival, multiple opponent strategies, and eventually strategies on dealing armed subjects. All training is done in a safe and fun environment! We learn on the mat and make ourselves better in case we ever should have to defend ourselves or our family. The instructor is a military veteran and also a law enforcement officer and has used many of the techniques shown in the real world. More importantly students are taught skills to be able to walk away from most situations before it escalates to a physical level.

  • We have fitness only classes available if a martial arts class is not for you.
  • We also have a traditional class for those who are interested in learning a traditional art.
